Concierge
Athens, Georgia
Project Description
The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education and Hotel Concierge Renovation consisted of reconfiguring the space to optimize the guests experience while creating a more flexible and functional back of housework and storage space for the employees. New ceramic tile flooring, new lighting fixtures, and a new stone clad reception’s desk were installed. The desk is both aesthetically pleasing and extremely functional. Lastly, the space was highlighted with a floor to ceiling, backlit millwork feature wall that is nothing short of amazing.
This project was particularly challenging because hotel guests enter and exit from this space. Therefore, a temporary Concierge had to be set up close by making the need for an expeditious completion a must. Furthermore, the project was required to be completed prior to the first UGA home football game. This increased the importance of a timely finish. The project was completed while maintaining required egress around the building as the adjacent spaces remained occupied.
